Hand-made pendants in sterling silver with proof mark. This design features Manjushri, an Buddhist bodhisattva associated with insight and wisdom. Am important figure in all sects of Buddhism, Manjushri is considered the most important bodhisattva in the Mahayana school.
He is depicted here as typically seen in Nepal, with the sword of wisdom above his head. According to legend, Manjushri visited the Kathmandu Valley on pilgrimage from China, which at that time was a lake. Seeing a radiant lotus flower in the lake, he cut a gorge draining the water and allowing the valley to be habitable. The place where the lotus settled became the renowned Swayambhunath Stupa.
These pendents are available in several variations. All have nice depth and detail. Three options are available in ghau style. This means there is a hinge on the top which opens to reveal a small storage space.
